Witnesses sought after ram-raid at Horsham Co-Op

Police are investigating a ram-raid at the Co-Op store, Tanfield Court, Guildford Road, Horsham.

The raid took place around 4.30am on Thursday (6 February).

A dark-coloured Land Rover Defender was reported to have been used to smash a way into the shop, where an attempt was made to remove a cash point.

The suspect vehicle was later found abandoned in Hill Mead, Horsham.

Enquiries are continuing.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious, who may have relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage or who has other information about the incident is asked to contact police online or by phoning 101, quoting serial 149 of 06/02.

67-year-old local man dies after van collides with tree



Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision near Horsham.

Around 4.20pm on Saturday (March 28), a white Ford Transit van towing a trailer left the A29 Bognor Road carriageway, just west of Horsham, near to the junction of Rowhook Road. 

The van collided with a tree and the driver – a 67-year-old local man – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone who may have any relevant dash cam footage.
