Urgent warning from Crawley Council for residents to be aware of blocked drains scam

Crawley Council are warning local residents about a potential scam going on in the town.

Numerous residents have reported that they have received calls from people who claim to be from the firm Dyno-Rod and that the council has negotiated a discount with them.

Crawley Council have confirmed that they do not work with Dyno-Rod and there is no association with them.

Scams like this not only affect residents but also can damage the reputation of reputable companies like Dyno-Rod and also the Council.

A council spokesperson said:

“This has been reported to us by residents today. We are not working with Dyno-Rod and urge anyone called by people claiming to be from the company not to engage in conversation or give any personal details. Instead, please call Sussex Police on 101.”

Dyno-Rod have also confirmed that they have received calls from concerned residents about this and have said they will release a statement soon.

Any resident who is concerned if they receive a call should end the conversation immediately and contact Sussex Police on 101 or on their website by clicking here.
