Free activities at K2 Family Fun Day

A variety of free activities are available for people of all ages & abilities.



Freedom Leisure are inviting everybody to come and try out a variety of free, fun activities for all ages and abilities this weekend.

Activities* at the event on Saturday (21 April) will include bowls, diving, football, badminton, tennis, indoor golf, fencing, squash, karate, judo, table tennis and trampolining.

Information stands from local clubs will also be on display, as well as Freedom Leisure Membership, and Crawley Wellbeing Service information.

K2 Crawley open day a huge success with thousands attending

I’m a celebrity star Fleur East was on hand to welcome the local community to the free family open day at the K2 Crawley.



The singer and songwriter took part in a question and answer session before meeting and greeting her fans on site. She took part in gym challenges before drawing the raffle for one lucky Crawley resident.

“It was really nice to meet everybody that came down to K2 Crawley,” East said. “I want to thank everyone for coming and hope they all had a great day.”

Over 7,000 people came through the doors at the K2 Crawley to experience the fantastic facilities on offer including swimming and diving lessons, soft play, badminton and fencing.

European Champion Eden Cheng helped coach children in the diving lessons before showcasing her world leading skills from the 5m board.

“Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I can be inspirational to others,” Cheng said. “Thank you to the students, parents and staff for making me feel so welcome.”

Darryl Keech, Everyone Active contract manager, said: “It was a fantastic event and I was pleased to see so many people come to the K2 Crawley on Saturday.

“Fleur [East] and Eden [Cheng] were great and it was great to see so many of their fans come to see them.

“I hope that the local community enjoyed using the facilities and found a new activity they enjoy doing.”
