Crawley’s County Mall have teamed up with Hospital Radio Crawley for a day of live music performances.

Six performers will be on stage near Debenhams on the lower mall this Saturday (1 September), performing sets on the half hour from 10.30am with the last act performing from 3.30pm.

Raising awareness and much needed funds for Hospital Radio, County Mall are also asking spectators to vote for their favourite act of the day, and for every vote that is cast, the Centre says it will donate £1 (to a max £250) to Hospital Radio. However, everyone has a chance of being a winner, as one lucky voter will be randomly selected to win a £50 gift card and the performer with the most votes from the day will win a gift card to spend at County Mall.

Paul Stanworth.

Paul Stanworth, who’s kicking off the day, started his performing career running music sessions for adults with disabilities, and now performs full time with over 50 bookings per month.

Ellie Firmo.

Singer / songwriter Ellie Firmo, who cites Adele and Etta James in her influences said:

“Hospital Radio Crawley are a brilliant organisation who have been extremely kind and helpful to me, so anything I can do to help raise money for them is exciting. I’m also looking forward to trying out a few new songs I’ve been working on, so make sure to listen out for my originals!”

Zoe Zori.

Zoe Zori, also a singer / songwriter, takes influence from the likes of Green Day and John Mayer. She started gigging as a soloist after her singer was unable to duet with her at short notice, and the rest is history!

Other performers to look out for on the day are Rebecca Jayne, Bee Arnold and Lauren V.

Centre Manager Mark Haynes stated:

“I’m excited to help bring young talent into the Centre for such a good cause, and hope that our customers enjoy what promises to be a fun day!”
