Celebrate St George’s Day on Crawley’s Historic High Street

Come down to the Historic High Street on Sunday 28 April to celebrate the patron saint of England with music, theatre, community groups and food stalls.



The St George’s Day event, from 11am to 4pm, will feature music from Crawley Millennium Concert Band, storytelling from This Is My Theatre, street dance from Urban City Dance and circus skills from Marjin Entertainment.

There will also be free face painting and a children’s workshop.

The food fair, featuring artisan producers and street food traders, will offer:

  • Cheese
  • Bread, cakes and patisseries
  • Ice cream, lollies and sorbets
  • French macarons
  • Fresh pasta, sauces and garlic bread.

In addition, community groups; Crawley Campaign Against Racism, the Crawley and District Branch of The Royal British Legion and DiverseCrawley will have stalls.

Entertainment starts at 12 noon and is suitable for all ages.

FREE Nandos for Crawley A-Level and GCSE result students

The offer is available nationally but for one day this week and one day next week A-Level and GCSE students can claim a FREE Nandos.



On Thursday 15th August for one day only any student collecting their A-Level or equivalent result can claim a free Nandos at any of their restaurants.

The following week on the 22nd August GCSE students collecting their results can claim their free Nandos.

It’s like an early Christmas present for all Nandos fans but the offers are only available on the two results days so make sure you don’t go on the wrong day or miss either one all together!

To claim the free food all a student has to do is bring their results with them along with valid ID and spend a minimum of £7, that’s it and you receive a ¼ Chicken or Fire-Starter (excluding Wing Roulette/All Together Now) with their order.
