Cannabis factory in Maidenbower Crawley shut down by police

The small scale farm was discovered after police conducted a warrant following a tip off.



Posting on Facebook and Twitter, Crawley police showed a photo of the plants that were discovered.

40 cannabis plants were found at the property in Tuxford Close, Maidenbower when they undertook the warrant last Sunday (25th Nov).

Unfortunately when the police arrived there was no-one to be found.

Police commented saying:

“Unfortunately for us, the owner was not there.

Do you know anyone green fingered they might belong to?”

They also revealed how they discovered where to go stating:

“Thanks to local community members talking to us who foiled their plot!”

The warrant forms part of Operation Oxide and the polices robust action to tackle issues with drugs in the Crawley area.

Louis Brown was caught by police after responding LOL on their facebook post

Police had posted on their facebook page his photo along with the reasons he was sought.

They said:

“He is wanted on recall to prison for breaching his bail conditions and believed to be in the Crawley area.”

But Brown thought is funny to respond to the post by putting “LOL” under it.

Crawley police though did have the last laugh after he was found hiding under a mattress at an address.
