It’s not quite the romantic image brought on by films such as Risky Business but the British Transport Police were alerted to reports of a couple “engaging in sexual activity” on the Gatwick Express last Thursday night (August 10th).
The train was the 9pm service from London Victoria and BTP are now appealing for witnesses.

BTP said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an allegation of a couple engaging in a sexual activity on a Gatwick Express train.
“The incident was reported to the BTP shortly before 9.30pm on Thursday, August 10. Anyone who was on the 9pm service from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport and saw what happened is urged to get in touch by sending a text to 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 606 of 10/08/2017.”

FOILED! Thieves fail at stealing from Royal Mail in Southgate
An attempt to steal from a Royal Mail van in Southgate failed & witnesses are being asked to come forward.
Thieves attempts to steal from a Royal Mail van in Southgate, Crawley failed after they tried to break in with a dash and grab.
Due to the security measures taken by the Royal Mail though the thieves quickly discovered that all letters and parcels are kept in the rear of the van foiling their attempts.
The incident took place on Friday 9 March in Chatsworth Row and any witnesses are being asked to come forward.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said:
“We can confirm that the window of a parked Royal Mail van was smashed while one of our postman was out delivering the mail. All items of mail were secured in the back of the van and no letters or parcels were taken or damaged as a result. Anyone with any information should contact local police.”
