A car fire at the entrance to County Oak brought traffic to a standstill this lunchtime.
The driver was stationary at the lights when he struggled to start the engine before passers by told him of flames underneath the vehicle.
Within minutes the car was ablaze and the emergency services were called out.
Photos from the scene show the vehicle with extensive fire damage and the vehicle written off.
Speaking to CN24 the driver said he managed to get out of the vehicle without any injury.
The vehicle has now been recovered and the road re-opened.
